Saskatchewan invited 534 candidates in the new draw
On November 3, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) conducted a new draw. SINP issued 272 invitations to apply (ITAs) in the Express Entry category. Saskatchewan issued invitations to candidates in 46 different NOCs in this category. In the Occupations In-Demand category, Saskatchewan invited 262 candidates in 55 different NOCs. The lowest score in both categories was 68 points, two points less than in the previous Saskatchewan Express Entry draw and ten points less than in the Occupations In-Demand category. In total, Saskatchewan invited 534 candidates to apply for a nomination. In 2020, Saskatchewan issued ITAs to 6,704 candidates in the SINP.

BCPNP invited 76 high-tech specialists in the Tech Pilot
On November 3, 2020, British Columbia conducted a new draw for candidates in the Tech Pilot of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). In this round, the province invited 76 high-tech specialists to apply for the provincial nomination in four categories: Skills Immigration – Skilled Worker, Skills Immigration – International Graduate, Express Entry British Columbia – Skilled Worker, and Express Entry British Columbia – International Graduate. All candidates scored 80 points or higher. In total, British Columbia invited 1,874 Tech Pilot candidates this year. In 2020, BC issued 8,019 invitations in the BCPNP.

New Brunswick to hold the online information session for nurses
On November 3, 2020, New Brunswick announced that the provincial immigration authorities will hold virtual immigration information sessions for Nurses in East Asia in December. The province plans a series of webinars to provide prospective nursing professionals with information about New Brunswick economic immigration programs and the career paths. New Brunswick also encourages attendants to create Express Entry profiles before registering for the session. All candidates interested to participate are invited to register and submit the details of their professional education and experience in nursing and healthcare.

Canada requires mandatory requirements for travellers to Canada
On November 2, 2020, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) announced the requirement to use the mobile application ArriveCAN to comply with travel instructions caused by COVID-19. The app has been introduced in April 2020 to help travellers to Canada. Starting November 21, 2020, air travellers will have to submit the travel and contact information, quarantine plan, and COVID-19 symptom self-assessment through ArriveCAN prior to boarding to Canada. CBSA officers may ask to show ArriveCAN receipt upon entry to the country. Failure to submit the information may result in $1,000 fines.
