Ontario invited 63 French-speaking candidates in the new OINP draw
On September 21, 2023, the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) held the seventh round of invitations in Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream. In this round, the OINP issued 63 Invitations to Apply for the Francophone candidates. The Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) range of candidates who received the Notification of Interest from the OINP was between 348 and 434 points. The Express Entry profiles of the candidates were created between September 21, 2022, and September 21, 2023. In 2023, Ontario invited 1,490 FSSW candidates.

Manitoba issued 620 invitations through the MPNP
On September 21, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In round #194, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 298 applicants who scored 612 points and above. Manitoba also issued 239 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 631 points, nine points fewer than the previous draw. In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 27 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 723 points, one point fewer than in the previous draw. In addition, 56 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream. In this round, Manitoba has issued LAAs to 620 candidates, including 59 Express Entry candidates. In 2023, MPNP invited 11,789 candidates, and 3,031 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.

Alberta updated the AAIP inventory and invited new candidates
On September 19, 2023, Alberta published an update considering the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) inventory. According to the new update, there were around 2,025 Alberta Opportunity Stream applications, 590 Rural Renewal Stream applications, 200 Accelerated Tech Pathway applications, 130 Family Connection Stream applications, 150 applications from priority sectors, and less than ten applications under the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway. This year, Alberta invited 2,859 candidates and issued 7,752 nomination certificates.

Sudbury considered 37 new applications under the RNIP
On September 20, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 37 candidates, including two candidates drawn through the Francophone Stream. The lowest score of these draws was 235 points, 15 points more than in the previous draw. Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants. Since the program’s launch, the city has recommended at least 437 individuals under the RNIP. So far, the city has considered 267 candidates in 2023.
