Manitoba invited 29 Ukrainian candidates through the MPNP
On May 25, 2023, the Government of Manitoba held the 14th draw for Ukrainian candidates. The province invited 29 candidates through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) in this draw. To be eligible, applicants must be Ukrainian citizens, have a minimum of CLB 4 in each language band, have connections to the province (close relative, community ties, previous employment, or studies in Manitoba), and score at least 60 points in the EOI registration points-grid, and possess a valid language test in one of the official languages. In total, the province invited 5,533 candidates in 2023, including 125 Ukrainian nationals.

Over 720,000 CUAET applicants have received approval since March 2022
On May 24, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) updated the number of Ukrainian newcomers arriving in Canada under the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET). According to the latest update, between January 1, 2022, and May 14, 2023, 30,020 Ukrainians arrived in Canada by land, and 192,390 Ukrainians reached by air. Between March 17, 2022, and May 6, 2023, IRCC received 1,028,223 applications under the CUAET. In total, IRCC has approved 720,922 applications from Ukrainian nationals. From March 17, 2022, to May 6, 2023, 154,981 Ukrainian arrived in Canada under the CUAET program.
