British Columbia invited 265 economic candidates and 23 entrepreneurs
On March 26, 2019, British Columbia issued invitations to apply to qualified candidates under Express Entry British Columbia and Skilled Immigrant categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) program. The total number of invitations issued in this round is 242. The lowest scores in the categories were:
Skilled Immigrant – Skilled Worker 94
Skilled Immigrant – International Graduate 100
Skilled Immigrant – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled 73
Express Entry British Columbia – Skilled Worker 100
Express Entry British Columbia – International Graduate 105
In addition, on the same day, BCPNP invited 23 candidates in the Entrepreneur Immigration stream. The lowest score of this round was 106. In total, British Columbia invited 683 candidates in March 2019, and 2,021 candidates since the beginning of the year. 61 of them were invited via Entrepreneur Immigration stream.

The population of Saskatchewan reached 1,168,423
Statistics Canada released on March 21, 2019, the new data on Saskatchewan’s demography. In 2018, 15,203 people settled in Saskatchewan through international immigration. At the same time, 9,882 people moved away from the province. Overall, the population in Saskatchewan grew by 11,459. According to the province, the population has grown by close to 160,000 since 2007. Statistics Canada also indicated that on January 1, Canada’s population reached 37,314,442, also driven mostly by international migration.

Manitoba nominated a record number of immigration candidates in 2018
Manitoba issued a record 5,207 nominations for Canadian permanent residence in 2018, with 98% going to skilled worker candidates. 5,119 nominations went to candidates in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas immigration streams. The remaining 88 nominations went to candidates in Manitoba’s Business Investor Stream. 339 applications have been refused in 2018.
