British Columbia invited 25 entrepreneurs in two streams
On June 13, 2019, British Columbia issued 20 invitations to apply to the candidates under Entrepreneur Immigration stream and 5 invitations to the candidates under Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot. The lowest score for the candidates in the Base Category was 117, while in the Regional Pilot – 118. Both streams aimed to attract foreign entrepreneur into British Columbia via the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) program. BCPNP invited 106 entrepreneurs as of today. In total, the provincial authorities invited 3,418 candidates under all streams of BCPNP in 2019.

Eleven communities approved for Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot
On 14 June 2019, the IRCC published a press release about the launch of the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot, a program for northern settlements and rural areas, to stimulate the economy of the country’s peripheral regions. Eleven rural and northern settlements were selected to participate in the new program. The following communities were selected for participation in Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot: Thunder Bay (ON), Sault Ste. Marie (ON), Sudbury (ON), Timmins (ON), North Bay (ON), Gretna-Rhineland-Altona-Plum Coulee (MB), Brandon (MB), Moose Jaw (SK), Claresholm (AB), West Kootenay (BC), and Vernon (BC). The participating communities were selected as a representative sample of the regions across Canada to assist in laying out the blueprint for the rest of the country.

International Experience Canada June 10-14: 4,502 ITAs issued
In the last week, Canada invited 4,502 candidates in the International Experience Canada (IEC) program. This time, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 2,501invitations to Apply (ITA) to the ‘Working Holiday’ candidates from the United Kingdom. IRCC also issued ITAs to the candidates from such countries as Australia (283 ITAs), France (702 ITAs), Ireland (153 ITAs), and Japan (166 ITAs). 840 extra spots now have been added to Germany. As of June 14, 2019, Canada issued 107,874 ITAs in IEC in 2019.
