Manitoba stopped holding draws under the Business Investor Stream
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) regularly holds draws through the Expression of Interest (EOI) system to invite qualified candidates to apply for permanent residency. However, the province stopped conducting EOI draws under the Business Investor Stream. All investor applications will be thoroughly reviewed within four weeks. The MPNP will issue either an Advice to Apply letter if all requirements in their program standards are met or give feedback if the EOI is unsatisfactory. The EOI ranking system is utilized for the pathways under the Skilled Worker Stream and International Education Stream of the MPNP. However, the Business Investor Stream has a distinct process that must be followed when submitting an EOI.

New Brunswick published a notice for NBPNP’s Express Entry Stream
The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program’s Express Entry Stream directly links to the federal Express Entry system, making it easier for applicants to get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and increases chances of obtaining permanent residency status. To be eligible for nomination through NBPNP’s Express Entry Stream, applicants must create a Federal Express Entry Profile, meet the requirements of at least one of the Federal Express Entry Immigration programs, and meet the requirements of the NB Express Entry Stream. Applicants must also meet one of the three connections of the stream: NB Employment Connection, NB Student Connection, and NB Occupations in Demand Connection.
