Ontario provides new details about changes in the OINP’s Entrepreneur Stream
The Ontario government plans to make changes to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program, including adjusting the investment and net-worth thresholds for the OINP’s Entrepreneur Stream. The revised minimum personal investment if the proposed business will be located within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) will be $600,000. The revised minimum personal investment if the proposed business will be located outside the GTA will be $200,000. The minimum personal investment if the proposed business will be in the ICT/Digital Communications sector regardless of location will be $200,000. A further Entrepreneur Stream change would see the required business experience cut from 36 months in the last 60 months, to 24 months in the last 60 months.
